The international maritime exhibition Posidonia 2024 begins today. This year’s edition of the event will gather over 2,000 companies from 82 countries around the world. The organizers expect over 40,000 participants and estimate this will be a record attendance for the fair in its 60-year history.
The exhibitors will include 23 national pavilions, including the Polish Pavilion. Under the Polish logo and the auspices of the Ministry of Infrastructure, the following companies will present their offers: Stocznia Remontowa Nauta SA, MSR Gryfia SA, the authorities of the seaports of Gdańsk, Gdynia, Szczecin and Świnoujście, Gospodarka Morska Sp. z oo/Polish Maritime Technology Forum, Bota Technik, and Polish Register of Shipping. A total of 28 Polish entities will represent the Polish maritime industry at the Metropolitan Expo in Athens.
It is a tradition that sporting events precede Posidonia. Before the exhibition, yacht regattas, golf, football, and basketball tournaments as well as running are organized. This year, Polish representatives also took part in these events. The Polish pavilion had its yacht at the Posidonia Cup – a regatta that took place on Friday, May 31. The crew on the beautifully branded IKIGAI yacht included PRS representatives: Jacek Witt, a member of the Management Board, and Natalia Gafou and Robert Domański from the company branch in Piraeus.
The PRS team also participated in the Posidonia Running Event – a 5-kilometer run within the city of Piraeus. Two inspectors from the PRS Piraeus Branch – Teodor Mouzis and Ioannis Tritaris took part in the competition.
The formal opening of the fair starts today at 6 p.m. We invite everyone interested in the offer of the Polish maritime industry throughout the whole week – including Friday – to our national stand no. 1.337.
See you there!
