President of the Board of PRS met with General Director of Chipolbrok

On 27 April 2026, an important meeting took place at the Chinese-Polish Joint Stock Shipping Company Chipolbrok headquarters in Shanghai. Grzegorz Pettke, President of the Board of Polish Register of Shipping, met with Radosław Chmieliński, General Director of Chipolbrok. The discussions focused on summarising the long-standing cooperation to date and setting out new directions for joint activities.

Maintaining fleet safety and technical standards, and PRS supervision

A key focus of the discussions was the issues relating to the shipowner’s vessels supervised by the PRS. The parties exchanged experiences on maintaining high technical standards for the fleet and discussed ongoing supervision and vessel inspections. The topic of supervision of the construction of the “KOPERNIK” vessel, which is one of the key projects being carried out in cooperation with PRS, was also raised.

Key importance of the Polish-Chinese Maritime partnership

The President of PRS emphasised the importance of the long-standing partnership with Chipolbrok, also highlighting its role in building strong relations between Poland and China in the maritime sector. For his part, the General Director of Chipolbrok noted that cooperation with PRS contributes to maintaining high technical standards of the fleet.

PRS IACS GPG Member Leszek Pokora, PRS Shanghai Branch Office Manager Chong Wang, PRS Shanghai Branch Office Business Development Specialist Karol Pokora, and Director of Technical Division of Chipolbrok in Shanghai Jakub Wiechna also took part in the meeting.
