From 29 to 31 March 2026, the 29th edition of the China (Shanghai) International Boat Show 2026 took place in Shanghai—one of the most important maritime industry events in Asia. Held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, the show brought together over a thousand exhibitors and tens of thousands of visitors from around the world, creating a comprehensive platform for the yachting sector, marine equipment, and water sports.
The Polish Register of Shipping (PRS) participated in this year’s edition, represented by Karol Pokora, Business Development Specialist from the PRS Shanghai Branch Office. The presence of a PRS representative was an important step in building relationships with partners across the Asian region and strengthening the organization’s visibility in the rapidly growing Chinese market.
Participation in the event provided an opportunity for direct meetings with representatives of the maritime industry, including boat manufacturers, equipment suppliers, and engineering companies. These meetings served as a platform to present PRS expertise in classification, certification, and advisory services.
PRS’s presence at the China (Shanghai) International Boat Show 2026 aligns with its strategy of international expansion and strengthening its position in Asian markets. The region, due to the dynamic development of the shipbuilding industry and the growing importance of advanced maritime technologies, remains a key direction for growth.
Participation in the event not only enabled the establishment of new business contacts but also provided valuable insights into current market trends, such as digitalization, automation, and environmentally friendly solutions in the maritime sector.
